THE MEISNER CERTIFICATE TRAINING PROGRAM, JUNE 17, 2012

FOR TEACHERS, ACTORS & DIRECTORS

What is it?

The Meisner Certificate Program is truly the most thorough and rigorous training in the skills of teaching, and doing, the meisner technique as taught by renowned author and teacher, Larry Silverberg.

Who is it for?

Every year, our students come from every part of the world. The participants are professors, heads of university theatre departments, professional and aspiring actors, film and theatre directors, high school acting teachers, screenwriters and other professional theatre and film artists.

When is it?

The Certificate Program is a total of four weeks long, usually completed over two, consecutive summers. Each week, you have classes six days a week and each of these days, you will be in the studio working with Larry between six and nine hours. Outside of these classes, you will be in rehearsals, practice sessions with partners and preparing homework assignments for the following day.

The program is held in two parts, each part is two weeks long.

The next Part One begins on June 17th, 2012 and concludes on July 1st.

The next Part Two begins on July 1st, 2012 and concludes on July 15th.

Most of our students take Part One in one summer and then come back to take Part Two, to complete the certification program, the following summer. However, we run the two parts back to back so that you may choose to complete the certificate program in one summer. (Many of our international students have chosen to do the program in this manner.)

& Where is it?

You will be studying on the lovely campus of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. The summer is the best time to come to train in the Pacific Northwest! With its brand new theatre facilities, its excellent housing, its award winning food and it's proximity to downtown Salem, Willamette University is the perfect home to our True Acting Institute Summer Programs.

How Much Is It?

The "all inclusive fee" for Part One of the program is $3450.00. This pays for all of your meals, your single room accommodations, all of your classes and activities including the celebration banquet held at the conclusion of each program.

There is a $150.00 non-refundable deposit to hold your place in the program. We suggest doing this as early as possible as space is extremely limited. Then, there will be two payments of $1650.00, the first due by March 1st and the second by April 15th. Or you may pay the entire fee when you register. (Please note, all payments are non-refundable.)
